NCAC spring sports weekly releases for the week ending on Sunday, March 12, which include up-to-date conference standings, weekly schedules, team notes and Player of the Week selections, are now available online.

The 2017 NCAC baseball season is now in full swing as several league teams were in action last week on spring break trips in southern states, highlighted by Hiram posting a 7-3 mark at the Gene Cusic Collegiate Classic in Fort Myers, Florida. The spring portion of the NCAC men’s golf season kicked off last week with Wittenberg competing twice on its spring break trip. The NCAC women’s golf spring season kicked off last week with Wittenberg finishing third out of 16 teams at the Callaway Gardens Invitational in Georgia. The 2017 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships concluded on Saturday (3/11) afternoon at the Al. B Carius Track on the campus of North Central College in Naperville, Illinois. Following the two days of competition, seven student-athletes from the NCAC posted All-American performances, highlighted by a pair of national championship efforts. Complete Release

Denison (3-1), DePauw (2-1) and Hiram (2-1) have all jumped out to solid starts to the 2017 season early on during non-conference action. North Coast men’s lacrosse squads dive into the league portion of the 2017 schedule this week with four games scheduled on Saturday. Complete Release

Oberlin has gotten off to its second-straight 3-0 start and the third time in the last four years after defeating Otterbein, 19-4, on Thursday. The Yeowomen have outscored their opponents, 58-8, to open the season, led by junior Natalie Rauchle (Edina, MN/Edina) with 12 goals. North Coast softball squads continued spring break trips last week, highlighted by Wittenberg getting off to an 8-2 start and Kenyon setting a record for hits in a game with 21 during a 17-10 victory against Alverno. The 2017 NCAA Division III Men's & Women's Swimming & Diving Championships will be held over a four-day period at the CISD Natatorium in Shenandoah, Texas. The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) and the City of Shenandoah will serve as the hosts for the event that will run from Wednesday, March 15, through Saturday, March 18. Preliminary events will begin each morning at 10:00 a.m. (CDT), while final sessions are set for 6:00 p.m. (CDT). The North Coast Athletic Conference will be represented in both the men's and women's meets by student-athletes from Denison, DePauw and Kenyon. Complete Release

There was at least one NCAC men’s tennis match every day last week, which included a battle of nationally ranked teams that saw Trinity (TX) hand Kenyon a narrow 5-4 loss on Sunday in Orlando, Florida.
