NCAC fall sports weekly releases for the week ending on Sunday, September 10th, which include up-to-date conference standings, weekly schedules, team notes and Player of the Week selections, are now available online.

CROSS COUNTRY
It was another busy weekend on the NCAC cross country circuit as six of the league’s nine schools were in action at the OWU invite at Liberty Park, which will host the 2017 Great Lakes Regional. Kenyon finished third in the women’s race and Ohio Wesleyan took sixth in the men’s race as the top finishers from the NCAC. All nine conference schools will be in action this weekend, led by DePauw and Wabash traveling to Indiana University on Friday night in Bloomington for the Indiana Intercollegiate Championships. Complete Release

FIELD HOCKEY
Following the first week of conference play, Kenyon (1-0, 4-1), Wittenberg (1-0, 3-1), Wooster (1-0, 3-1) and DePauw (1-0, 2-2) sit atop the league standings with eight NCAC contests scheduled this week. Wittenberg is off to its first 3-1 start since 2009 and looks to improve to 4-1 through five games for the first-time since 2004 when the Tigers host Wooster on Saturday in Springfield. Complete Release

FOOTBALL
The conference portion of the 2017 NCAC football season kicked off last weekend with Oberlin topping Kenyon, 31-10, at home and Wooster knocking off Allegheny, 49-35, in Pennsylvania. The league schedule will begin in earnest this Saturday with all 10 teams in action, led by Hiram hosting DePauw and Ohio Wesleyan traveling to Wooster. Complete Release

GOLF
A pair of NCAC men’s golf teams earned team titles on the second full weekend of action in the 2017-18 season, as Ohio Wesleyan earned the title at its own Battle at the Brook in Sandusky, Ohio, and Wittenberg topped the field at Allegheny’s Guy and Jeanne Kuhn Invitational. NCAC teams return to action this weekend with just three events on the schedule, highlighted by DePauw and Ohio Wesleyan traveling to Tunica, Mississippi, for the Rhodes Falls Collegiate Classic. Complete Men's Release

Two NCAC women’s golf teams brought home team titles last weekend as DePauw was victorious at Olivet’s Kyle Campbell Classic and Wooster won the title at OWU’s Fall Invitational for the third time in the last four years. There are four events on the NCAC women’s golf schedule this weekend, highlighted by Allegheny, Denison and Wooster traveling to Apollo, Pennsylvania, for the Carnegie Mellon Fall Shootout. Complete Women's Release

MEN'S SOCCER
Kenyon (4-1) posted three victories last week, including a pair of impressive shutouts against Spalding and Centre. Through five games, the Lords have allowed just three goals for a league best 0.58 goals against average through the second full weekend of games in 2017. Non-conference action continues this week with games scheduled on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Complete Release

WOMEN'S SOCCER
Oberlin (4-0-0), Ohio Wesleyan (3-0-1) and Wooster (2-0-2) all remained unbeaten through the second full weekend of action. The Yeowomen have outscored their opponents, 20-2, through four games, the Bishops are off to their best start through four games since 2009 and the Scots are an impressive 2-0-1 in their three games on the road to this point. Non-conference action continues for North Coast women’s soccer teams this week with the first full weekend of conference action scheduled to start a week from Saturday on September 23rd. Complete Release

VOLLEYBALL
It was another successful week in NCAC volleyball action as all nine league teams sit at .500 or better against non-conference teams, led by nationally-ranked Wittenberg holding a perfect 6-0 mark through the first two weeks of action. Conference teams return to non-league action this week, highlighted DePauw, Ohio Wesleyan, Wittenberg and Wooster all hosting multi-team events. Complete Release
