NCAC fall sports weekly releases for the week ending on Sunday, September 17th, which include up-to-date conference standings, weekly schedules, team notes and Player of the Week selections, are now available online.

A pair of team wins by the DePauw and Oberlin women’s squads highlighted the action on the NCAC cross country circuit last weekend. There is minimal action this weekend across the conference as Denison is the only team in action, traveling to Williamstown, Massachusetts, for the Williams College Purple Valley Classic. Complete Release

Earlham (1-2, 1-3) defeated Ohio Wesleyan for the first time in 14 years, 3-1, last Saturday to secure a conference victory for the third consecuative season. Kenyon (3-0, 6-1) and Wittenberg (3-0, 5-1) sit atop the league standings as the final two unbeaten teams in league play. The first full weekend of NCAC football action is in the books with Wooster (2-0, 3-0) holding a half game lead at the top of the league standings following a 38-20 win over Ohio Wesleyan, while Denison, DePauw, Wabash and Wittenberg all picked up victories in their conference-openers on Saturday. There are five league games on the slate next Saturday, led by Wooster traveling to DePauw and Denison hosting Oberlin. Complete Release

Five of the nine NCAC men’s golf teams were in action last weekend at three different events, highlighted by Allegheny and Denison finishing second-third, respectively, at the Carnegie Mellon Fall Shootout in Apollo, Pennsylvania. All nine teams are slated for competition this weekend, led by DePauw hosting several league teams at Deer Creek Golf Club in Clayton, Indiana, for its annual Dan Quayle Collegiate Classic. Complete Men's Release

It was a busy week on the NCAC women’s golf circuit as six league teams were in action at five different events, highlighted by Denison claiming the team championship at the Carnegie Mellon Fall Shootout in Apollo, Pennsylvania. All seven conference teams are scheduled to be in action this weekend at four different events, led by DePauw hosting its annual Dan Quayle Collegiate Classic at Twin Bridges G.C. in Danville, Indiana. Complete Women's Release

Kenyon (4-1-2, 0-0-0) is currently riding a five game unbeaten streak after a pair of non-conference draws last week. Kenyon continues to impress defensively having allowed just four goals through its first seven contests. The Lords will host Heidelberg on Thursday, and then will open league play Saturday against Wittenberg (1-6-1, 0-0-0). In other conference action set to start Saturday, Wabash (4-2-0, 0-0-0) travels to Hiram (2-4-0, 0-0-0), DePauw (2-2-1, 0-0-0) visits Wooster (4-3-0, 0-0-0), Allegheny (3-3-0, 0-0-0) hosts Denison (2-4-0, 0-0-0) and Ohio Wesleyan (3-3-0, 0-0-0) visits to Oberlin (3-2-1, 0-0-0). Complete Release

The conference portion of the 2017 women’s soccer season gets underway this weekend with four contests scheduled for Saturday. Denison (3-2-2, 0-0-0) travels to Allegheny (2-4-0, 0-0-0), Kenyon (1-4-1, 0-0-0) takes on Wittenberg (1-3-1, 0-0-0) in Gambier, while Oberlin (6-0-0, 0-0-0) will host Ohio Wesleyan (4-1-1, 0-0-0) and DePauw (1-4-0, 0-0-0) heads to Wooster (3-1-2, 0-0-0). Complete Release

NCAC volleyball teams continued their dominance against non-conference foes last week as all nine league teams still hold a record of .500 or better on the season, led by nationally-ranked Wittenberg opening the season at 9-0 overall for the first time since 2007.
