D’Andre Brown, Wooster
The College of Wooster's D'Andre Brown continued to earn recognition for his outstanding play during the Fighting Scots' 27-21 win over Oberlin College on Saturday, as the junior defensive tackle was selected to the D3football.com Team-of-the-Week, presented by Scoutware, as announced by the popular online website on Tuesday morning.
Brown, who was selected as the North Coast Athletic Conference's Defensive Player-of-the-Week on Monday, forced two fumbles on strip-sacks during Saturday's win, in what marked his second-career two-sack game. The defensive tackle added three other tackles for loss as part of his career-high 10-tackle afternoon. Brown also batted down a pass in the second quarter.
Brown is the first Scot to earn a spot on D3football.com's weekly honor roll this season.
Brown, and his Wooster (3-3, 2-3 NCAC) teammates, will be back in action on Saturday, Oct. 20 in a 2 p.m. home tilt against Hiram College (2-4, 1-4 NCAC).
