For the first time this season, two NCAC football players were named to the D3football.com Team of the Week following their individual performances on the gridiron on Saturday, October 14th. Ohio Wesleyan sophomore Kyle Hogan (Centerburg, OH/Centerburg) earned a spot on the teams as a special-teams player, while Wooster senior Patrick Johnson (Homewood, IL/Homewood-Flossmoor) was one of four defensive backs named to the team.
Hogan blocked two field goal attempts in Ohio Wesleyan's 16-13 upset win over the then-20th-ranked Wabash Little Giants. His second block came on the final play of the game, a 32-yard field goal attempt that would have forced overtime. His first block came on a 41-yard try during the third quarter.
Johnson logged his second consecutive double-digit tackle game since shifting from corner to safety, as he figured in on 11 tackles, eight of which were solo stops, during Saturday's 38-28 win over Oberlin. Johnson also forced a fumble in the second half that led to a Wooster field goal.
