D3football.com Team of the Week (Oct. 20-21)

For the second week in a row, two NCAC football players have been named to the D3football.com Team of the Week for their performances in games played last Saturday, October 21st. Wooster sophomore Robert Alvarez (Ft. Washington, MD/Riverdale Baptist) was one of two defensive ends named to the team, while Oberlin freshman Bryant Walker (South Lyon, MI/East) was the lone punter named to the squad.

Alvarez, who was also tabbed as the NCAC Defensive Player of the Week on Monday, made a living in Hiram's backfield during Wooster's 58-25 win on Saturday. Alvarez broke Wooster's single-game record with 4.5 sacks, and overall, logged a career-high 11 tackles. He also recovered a fumble that gave the Scots possession at the Terriers' nine-yard line.

Walker was instrumental in flipping the field in the Yeomen's tight 35-21 loss against Wabash as he averaged 52.9 yards per punt, totaling 423 yards on eight attempts. Walker placed three of his eight punts inside the five-yard line and had five inside the 20-yard line. He had punts of 65- and 70-yards in the setback. Walker currrently leads the NCAC with an average of 40.3 yards per punt after totaling 43 punts for an NCAC-best 1,734 yards.
