Gina Wills has announced that she will step down from her position as head field hockey coach at DePauw to assume the head field hockey coaching position at Washington and Lee University.
"We are sad to see Gina leave and, at the same time, are supportive of this next step in her career," Stevie Baker-Watson, DePauw's Theodore Katula Director of Athletics and Recreational Sports said.
"She has taken our program to new heights and placed it among the top in the country. Gina has been a tremendous mentor to her student-athletes and a great colleague and friend to many in the athletics department and across campus. We wish her the best of luck and thank her loyalty and dedication to DePauw athletics."
Wills posted a 121-40 record in eight seasons with the Tigers including a school-record 21 wins in 2012 when DePauw made its first appearance in the NCAA Division III semifinals. Along the way the Tigers knocked off Utica as well as top-ranked and previously unbeaten Middlebury before falling to eventual champion Tufts.
