It was a light week of NCAC action but Kenyon (9-1, 6-0) remained undefeated in league play with an impressive, 5-1, victory against Wooster (6-4, 3-3) last Wednesday. A full slate of conference games are scheduled for this week, highlighted by DePauw (7-3, 5-1) hosting Denison (7-3, 4-2) on Saturday and Wittenberg (6-3, 3-2) on Sunday.

DENISON went 2-0 last week, winning 1-0 at Earlham on Wednesday and defeating Rhodes at home 2-0 on Saturday. The Big Red were led by freshman Charlotte Godfrey (Denver, CO/Cherry Creek) who finished with five total shots for the week, including a game-winning goal at Earlham.

DEPAUW is starting to get in a groove, winning two games last week and bringing its win streak to a total of five. The Tigers defeated Centre 2-0 in non-conference play and Earlham 3-0 in their lone NCAC game. Freshman Hannah Metzger (Lake Forest, IL/Lake Forest) recorded nine saves this weekend in net for the Tigers. She has now recorded three consecutive shutouts, totaling 11 saves in that span. Offensively, seniors Paige Berliner (New Albany, OH/Columbus Academy) and Reilly Bruce (Chicago, IL/Francis Parker) each scored twice this weekend. DePauw is now 7-3 overall and 5-1 in the conference.

EARLHAM went 1-2 last week earning a 4-3 victory against Concordia on Saturday. Senior Megan Hut (Tiel, The Netherlands/RSG Lingcollege) scored two goals in the win and now has five goals in the previous four games.

KENYON played just one game this past week and posted a 5-1 home win against Wooster. Senior Katelyn Hutchinson (Pottstown, PA/St. George’s School) scored two goals, including the game-winner, in that game. She continues to lead the Ladies with seven goals and 17 points on the season.

OBERLIN suffered a 3-0 loss to Ohio Wesleyan on Tuesday and a 9-0 loss to Rhodes on Sunday afternoon. Junior goalkeeper Kennedy Kline (Philadelphia, PA/William Penn Charter) had another strong week in cage for Oberlin as she made 24 saves bringing her season total to 128.

OHIO WESLEYAN won all three of its contests last week including a pair shutouts against Oberlin and Transylvania. The three-game win streak is the first since 2015 for the Bishops. Junior forward Alexis Roberts (Louisville, KY/Christian Academy) led the team with fours goals on the week including two in the win over Oberlin.

WITTENBERG hosted Sewanee on Sunday morning, taking down The University of the South, 6-1. Five different Tigers scored led by Blaine Donnelly (Hanover, MD/Archbishop Spalding) with two.

WOOSTER was within a goal of league-leading Kenyon at the half during the Scots’ lone game of the week. Sophomore Harriet Sudduth (Louisville, KY/Atherton) scored on a penalty stroke to make it a 1-1 game in the 23rd minute while first-year Katie Shideler (Gibsonia, PA/North Allegheny) recorded 14 saves.
