  • Wittenberg's Hubbard Earns NCAA Postgrad Award
    August 15, 2017
    Recent Wittenberg women's golfer Macy Hubbard (Mason, OH/Mason) was named a recipient of the NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship for spring of the 2016-17 school year. The NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship is one of the most prestigious awards a college student-athlete can achieve.
  • DU Hires Jason Badecki As Head Golf Coach

    Denison University Associate Vice President and Director of Athletics Nan Carney-DeBord has announced the hiring of Jason Badecki as the new head men's and women's golf coach and assistant professor in the department of Health, Exercise and Sport Studies. Badecki becomes the first full-time head golf coach in the history of both programs.
  • CHAMPIONS! Wittenberg Claims NCAA Golf Title
    May 19, 2017
    Wittenberg combined to shoot five-under over the final two holes to post a final-round 293 and finish with a four-day total of 1,180 to capture the program’s first-ever NCAA Division III National Title at the Mission Inn Resort & Club in Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida. This marks the 67th NCAA team title in NCAC history and the first in men’s golf.
  • 10 Student-Athletes Named Academic All-District

    The 2016-17 College of Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District Men's & Women's At-Large Teams were released on May 11th with 10 student-athletes from the NCAC being named to team in the seventh district.
  • Wittenberg Women Finish Third at NCAAs

    Wittenberg shot a final-round of 312, the third best team score of the day and finished with a four-round total of 1,229 to finish third at the NCAA Division III Championships in the program's third-straight national appearance. 2017 marks the third-consecutive top-three national finish for Wittenberg as the Tigers finished second in 2015 and third in 2016.
  • Wittenberg Sweeps Men's & Women's Golf Titles

    The 2017 NCAC Golf Championship Series concluded on Sunday (4/30) at Royal America Golf Links in Galena, Ohio. Wittenberg captured its eighth-straight NCAC men's title with a 54-hole score of 878 (284-293-301), while the Wittenberg Tigers also picked up their third-straight NCAC women's title with a 54-hole score of 944 (321-319-304). The NCAC Championship Series consisted of just 54 holes after Saturday’s round was cancelled due to inclement weather.

    The first event of the 2017 NCAC Golf Championships Series was contested last weekend, April 22-23, at The Country Club of Meadville in Meadville, Pennsylvania, with Allegheny serving as the host institution. Seven-time defending NCAC men’s champion Wittenberg leads in the team standings following event one with a team score of 577 (284-293), while the Wittenberg Tigers also lead in the women’s standings after the opening weekend of play with a 36-hole score of 640 (321-319).
  • Wittenberg Men Selected As Favorites In Men's Golf

    Following pre-championship balloting by eight of the nine league coaches, Wittenberg has been tabbed as the favorites heading into the 2017 NCAC Men’s Golf Championship Series. The Tigers, who have won seven-straight league titles, collected eight first-place votes to top the poll with 72 total points. Ohio Wesleyan checked in at second with 61 points, followed by Kenyon (56), Allegheny (48), Denison (38), DePauw (36), Wooster (24), Wabash (16) and Hiram (9).
  • Wittenberg Women Top Pre-Championship Poll

    Wittenberg, winners of the last two NCAC women’s golf titles, was once again selected as the favorite this year in the pre-championship series poll after collecting five of the first-place votes and 35 total points in balloting from the league coaches. DePauw, which garnered the final first-place vote, finished second in the poll with 31 points, followed by Denison (24), Wooster (17), Ohio Wesleyan (12) and Allegheny (7).

    All nine NCAC men’s golf teams were in action last week at four different events, highlighted by Wittenberg winning the team title at the Wright State Intercollegiate and Ohio Wesleyan coming away victorious at the Ted Barclay Invitational. NCAC teams will close out the regular season schedule this week with DePauw and Wabash playing in the “Big Four Classic” on Tuesday and Allegheny traveling to New York over the weekend for the Rochester Fred Kravetz Invitational.

There are just two events on the schedule this week, highlighted by Wooster hosting Allegheny, Denison, Ohio Wesleyan and several non-league teams for its annual Spring Invitational at Mohican Hills G.C. in Jeromesville, Ohio.
