Wittenberg shot a final-round of 312, the third best team score of the day and finished with a four-round total of 1,229 to finish third at the NCAA Division III Championships in the program's third-straight national appearance. 2017 marks the third-consecutive top-three national finish for Wittenberg as the Tigers finished second in 2015 and third in 2016.

The Tigers entered the final round in fourth and finished 12 shots behind champion Rhodes, which finished with 1,217, including a fourth-round low score of 310 at Bay Oaks Country Club in Texas.

Senior Macy Hubbard (Mason, OH/Mason) finished tied for second with a four-round total of 295 after shooting a 75 today. Hubbard, who closed out her career with three-consecutive second-place finishes at the national tournament, finished just two shots behind winner Christina Herbert of Bridgewater College. Joining Hubbard in the top five was junior Jane Hopkinson-Wood (Pottstown, PA/The Hill School) who finished a career-best fourth. Hopkinson-Wood posted a four day total of 297, including a second-round 69 which was the second best round of the week by an individual.

Overall the Tigers ended up placing three in the top-25 as freshman Madi Wolters (Centerville, OH/Centerville) carded a four-round total of 312 to finish tied for 25th in her first national championship appearance.

The four-day, 72-hole tournament was played on a par-72, 5,869-yard layout at Bay Oaks Country Club in Houston. This was the second straight year Bay Oaks hosted the championship. The field was cut to the low 15 teams and six individuals for the final round of the tournament for the first time in the history of the event. Twenty-two teams and six individuals played the first three days for a 116-player field. The 2017 Championship was the 18th conducted since the NCAA separated the Division II and Division III Women's Golf National Championships in 2000.
