  • Wilson Named Academic All-American of the Year
    June 12, 2018
    Led by Kenyon senior swimmer Julia Wilson (Bethesda, MD/Sidwell Friends) being named the 2017-18 Division III Women's At-Large All-American of the Year, seven total NCAC athletes were named to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA)/Google Cloud Men's & Women's Academic All-America At-Large Team, it was announced on Tuesday, June 12th.
  • Denison Leads NCAC In Final Learfield Standings
    June 01, 2018
    Following the completion of the 2017-18 NCAA Division III competition season, four North Coast Athletic Conference schools ranked in the top-70 of the Learfield Directors' Cup standings, led by Denison finishing 44th out of 323 eligible institutions with 382.00 total points. Schools must have competed in an NCAA Championship event during the academic year in order to compile points in the standings.
  • Wittenberg Finishes 8th at Nationals
    May 21, 2018
    Wittenberg tallied a final round total score of 303 (+9), finishing in eighth-place with a (+31) through the four days of action. The Tigers finished the four-day event with 1,183 total strokes, with rounds of 303, 285, 298 and 297.
  • 10 Student-Athletes Named Academic All-District

    The 2017-18 College of Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA)/Google Cloud Academic All-District Men's & Women's At-Large Teams were released on May 17th with 10 student-athletes from the NCAC being named to the first team in the seventh district.
  • Denison Wins Record 16th NCAC All-Sports Title

    Denison won two outright league titles in men's swimming & diving and women's lacrosse, shared the league title with Kenyon in field hockey and posted 14 additional top-five finishes during the 2017-18 academic year to win its league-leading 16th North Coast Athletic Conference All-Sports Championship.
  • DePauw Ties For 10th at NCAA Championships

    DePauw shot a final-round 324 and totaled 1,312 strokes and tied for 10th with Washington University at the NCAA Division III Women's Golf Championships on El Campeon Golf Course. Claremont-Mudd-Scripps won the team title in a playoff over Williams after each finished at 1,261.
  • Hopkinson-Wood Finishes 3rd at NCAAs

    Jane Hopkinson-Wood (Pottstown, PA/The Hill School) closed out a four-year career for the ages on Friday afternoon with a third place finish at the 2018 NCAA Women's Golf Championship. Hopkinson-Wood finished +15 for the tournament, after carding rounds of 75-81-76-75. Finishing four strokes off the lead, the third place finish at the championship served as Hopkinson-Wood's highest finish in her career at Wittenberg.
  • Kenyon's Courtney Added To Men's Golf Field

    Two days ago, Kenyon men's senior golfer Ryan Muthiora (Zion Crossroads, VA/Tandem Friends School) was selected to compete as an individual for the NCAA Division III Championship. On Wednesday, freshman Lawrence Courtney (Kingston upon Thames, England/Hampton School) was added to the championship field after another player was unavailable to participate.

  • Hopkinson-Wood Earns At-Large Berth To NCAAs

    Four-time NCAC Women’s Player of the Year, Jane Hopkinson-Wood (Pottstown, PA/The Hill School) will make her fourth trip to the NCAA Division III Women's Golf Championships in as many years as she was named one of six individuals to the field as announced by the NCAA on Monday evening.
  • Wittenberg Wins 9th-Straight NCAC Men's Golf Title

    The 2018 NCAC Golf Championships concluded on Sunday (4/29) at the par-72, 6,910-yard Westbrook C.C. in Mansfield, Ohio. The Wittenberg won its ninth-straight NCAC men’s golf title by a razor thin margin as the Tigers topped Ohio Wesleyan in the team standings by just one stroke. Wittenberg finished the three-day event with a 54-hole score of 898 (298-297-303), while the Bishops posted a three-day score of 899 (303-298-298).
  • DePauw Wins 4th NCAC Women's Golf Title

    The 2018 NCAC Women’s Golf Championships concluded on Sunday (4/29) at the par-74, 5,834-yard Westbrook C.C. in Mansfield, Ohio. The DePauw Tigers won their league-leading fourth NCAC women’s golf title with a 54-hole score of 974 (320-323-331), while the Wittenberg Tigers, winners of the last three league championships, finished second overall with a 982 (321-324-337).
  • Wittenberg Men Selected As Favorites In Men's Golf

    Following pre-championship balloting by eight of the nine league coaches, Wittenberg has been tabbed as the favorites to win its ninth-straight NCAC men’s golf championship. The Tigers, who are under the direction of first-year head coach Michael Leotta, collected seven of the possible first-place votes cast by league coaches to top the poll with 71 total points. Kenyon earned the final first-place vote and finished second in the poll with 65 points, followed by Ohio Wesleyan (56), DePauw (40), Allegheny (38), Wooster (36), Denison (29), Wabash (17) and Hiram (8).
  • Wittenberg Women Top Pre-Championship Poll

    The 2018 NCAC Golf Championships will be contested this weekend, April 27-29, at Westbrook Country Club in Mansfield, Ohio, with Ohio Wesleyan University serving as the host institution. The event will consist of 54-total holes, with 18 holes being played, respectively, on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

    While inclement weather in the region resulted in two NCAC men’s golf events being completely cancelled and two others being shortened to 18-hole tournaments, Ohio Wesleyan was able to get in a full 36-hole event, finishing second out of six teams at the Rochester Fred Kravetz Invitational in New York. There is a full slate of action on the men’s golf circuit this week, highlighted by Ohio Wesleyan hosting Denison, Hiram, Kenyon, Wittenberg and a host of non-conference teams for its annual Strimer Memorial Invitational at Oakhaven G.C. in Delaware.

    Weather was once again the focal point of the weekend for NCAC women’s golf teams as only one team was able to finish a full 36-hole event: nationally-ranked DePauw finished in a tie for second at the Illinois Wesleyan Kathy Niepagen Spring Fling. There are three events on the schedule this weekend, including DePauw competing at the Millikin Take Back the Night Challenge, Wittenberg playing at the University of Illinois-Springfield Spring Invitational and Wooster traveling to Indiana for the Franklin Spring Invitational.

    While three NCAC men’s golf teams competed in different events last weekend, weather wrecked havoc on the one event scheduled in Ohio as Denison’s annual Ted Barclay Invitational was unable to be played due to an early April snow storm in central Ohio. There are five total events on the schedule this week, highlighted by Wooster hosting Denison, Hiram and a host of non-conference teams for its annual Nye Intercollegiate.

    Four of the NCAC’s nine men’s golf teams were in action last week, highlighted by the two nationally-ranked teams, Kenyon and Wittenberg, both winning a team title. Seven teams will be in action this week at four different events, led by Denison hosting Allegheny, DePauw, Wooster and several non-conference teams for its annual Ted Barclay Invitational in Granville.

    There was just one NCAC women’s golf team in action last week as DePauw brought home the team title at the Kalamazoo Tri-Match on its spring break trip to Pinehurst, North Carolina. This week’s schedule features all seven teams in action at four different events, led by Ohio Wesleyan hosting Allegheny, Wittenberg, Wooster and a grouping of non-conference teams for its annual Laura Bump Invitational at the Mill Creek G.C. in Ostrander, Ohio.

There are three total events on the schedule this week, led by Allegheny and Denison competing at the Saddlebrook Invitational in Tampa, Florida, and DePauw taking on some of the nation’s top teams at the annual Camp Lejeune Intercollegiate in Jacksonville, North Carolina.

There are two events on the schedule this week, highlighted by Allegheny and Denison competing at the Saddlebrook Invitational in Tampa, Florida, and nationally-ranked Wittenberg traveling to Memphis, Tennessee, for the Lee & Joe Duncan Rhodes Invitational.

    The spring portion of the NCAC men’s golf season kicked off last week with five of the league’s teams in action, led by Kenyon and Wittenberg participating in The Members Invitational on March 8th Indigo Run G.C. in Hilton Head, South Carolina. Two more teams kick off their spring seasons this week, highlighted by Ohio Wesleyan hosting Kenyon and several other non-conference teams for its annual Taylormade-Adidas Intercollegiate at the Dataw Island Cotton Dike G.C. in Beaufort, South Carolina.

    The NCAC women’s golf spring season kicked off last week with Wittenberg finishing seventh out of 14 teams at the rain-shortened Callaway Gardens Invitational in Georgia. Several other league teams being their spring seasons this week, highlighted by DePauw competing at the highly competitive Jekyll Island Collegiate, March 16-18, in Georgia.
  • Wittenberg Names Leotta Head Golf Coach

    Wittenberg Athletics has announced the hiring of Michael Leotta as the Tigers' next men's and women's head golf coach. Leotta comes to the Tigers after NCAA stops at Fresno State and the University of Illinois-Springfield, while the PGA-certified professional comes to Springfield with 15 years of experience in player development and golf operations.

    The North Coast men’s golf fall schedule wrapped up last week with Kenyon competing at Guilford’s O’Briant-Jensen Memorial, played at the Sedgefield Dye Course in Greensboro, North Carolina. NCAC golf teams will return to action in early spring, while the 2018 NCAC Golf Championships are set for April 27-29 at Westbrook Country Club in Mansfield, Ohio.

    The penultimate event of the 2017-18 NCAC men’s golf fall season concluded on Monday afternoon at the OWU Invitational/NCAC Fall Preview, hosted at Westbrook C.C. in Mansfield, Ohio, which will also be the host course of the 2018 NCAC Championships, set for April 27-29. The fall season will wrap up next week as Kenyon heads south to Greensboro, North Carolina, for the Guilford O’Briant-Jensen Memorial, Oct. 23-24.
