Six Men's Golfers Named GCAA All-America Scholars

NORMAN, Okla. – The Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) released the NCAA Division III Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholars on Wednesday, July 24, and six North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) individuals were selected as honorees.

Denison, Kenyon and Wittenberg each collected two members on the list. The Big Red were represented by senior Nick Brodbeck (Dayton, OH/Archbishop Alter) and junior Christian Early (Hinsdale, IL/Fenwick). Kenyon had junior Pat Kawakami (Northport, NY/St. Anthony’s) and senior Robert Williams (Gambier, OH/Mount Vernon) while Wittenberg netted juniors Ryan Mallette (Canton, OH/Central Catholic) and Cameron Willis (Eaton, OH/Eaton).

To be eligible for Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar status, an individual had to be a junior or senior academically, had to compete in at least three full years at the collegiate level, had to participate in 50-percent of his team's competitive rounds while maintaining a stroke average under 79.0 and had to maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.20. According to the GCAA, individuals being considered also had to be of high moral character and be in good standing at his college or university.
