The North Coast Athletic Conference hosted its inaugural Health & Wellness Symposium focusing on the mental health of student-athletes, coaches, athletics staff and administrators, Monday, May 20 at Ohio Wesleyan University. More than 244 NCAC members attended multiple sessions throughout the day on a variety of topics, making it one of the largest NCAC non-championship events in our 35 year history.
CLEVELAND, Ohio – Eight North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) institutions appeared in the winter update of the 2018-19 Division III Learfield Sports Directors’ Cup standings. Kenyon College led the group, residing in 44th place with 239 points.
The 2019 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships are set to take place this weekend, March 8-9, at the Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Center in Boston, Massachusetts, with the University of Massachusetts, Boston serving as host. Five student-athletes will represent the NCAC this weekend in Boston.
Ohio Wesleyan University junior Cirrus Robinson (Columbus, OH/Ashland) was named the Great Lakes Region Field Athlete of the Year by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA), it was announced by the USTFCCCA.
The North Coast had 14 student-athletes recognized as 2018-19 All-Great Lakes Region Indoor Track & Field performers by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) on Monday, March 4.
The Wabash Little Giants and the Oberlin Yeowomen lead the 2019 NCAC Indoor Track & Field Championships after the first day of competition at the Gault Recreation Center in Wooster, Ohio. Wabash accumulated 46 total points after six top-five finishes, while Oberlin sits in first with 76 points thanks to first-place finishes in the women’s weight throw, pole vault and 5,000 meter run.
The Oberlin women are seeking their third-consecutive NCAC title, while the Wabash Little Giants are in search of their sixth overall title. Both squads have been selected as the favorites heading into this year’s meet based on pre-championship balloting by the league coaches.
