December 9th

Erin Ross, Ohio Wesleyan
(Middlefield, OH/Ross)

Ohio Wesleyan junior Erin Ross was part of two top-five finishes at the Wittenber Tiger Opener on Friday. She anchored the 4x400 relay that won with a time of 4:20.07, the fastest NCAC time so far this season and finished fifth in the 60-meter hurdles (9.74). Ross’s 60-meter hurdles time also ranks as the third-fastest conference time this season.

Lauren Welker, Wittenberg
 (Luckey, OH/Eastwood)

Wittenberg sophomore Lauren Welker won the women’s 800-meter run on Friday at the Tiger Opener. Welker beat out six other competitors with a time of 2:27.64, the fastest time among conference runners this season. 

Alexis Johnson, Wittenberg
(Southfield, MI/The Roeper School)

Wittenberg junior Alexis Johnson took the top spot in the women’s long jump at the Tiger Opener, setting a new school record with a jump of 5.68 meters. Johnson set another school record on her way to her second first-place finish of the night with a jump of 11.35 meters in the triple jump. Both marks are the best among conference athletes this season.

December 16th

Clare Tiedemann, Oberlin
(New York, NY/Grace Church School)

Oberlin sophomore Clare Tiedemann had three personal-best performances at the Tiffin Alumni Open, posting the fifth-best conference mark in the long jump (4.94m), while also recording the fourth-best time in the NCAC in the 200 meters at 28.11. She also took a crack at the shot put on this day, posting a mark of 6.62 meters.


Sarah Voit, Oberlin
(Cincinnati, OH/McCauley)

Former outdoor All-American Sarah Voit made her first appearance of the season and picked up right where she left off, besting her own school record at the Tiffin Alumni Open in the pole vault with a mark of 3.79 meters, which currently ranks third in the nation. The sophomore’s previous-best indoor clearance was 3.70 meters.

January 13th

Grace Hayes, Oberlin
(Sagamore Hills, OH/Trinity)

Oberlin sophomore Grace Hayes notched the fourth-best 60-meter dash conference mark this season at the Dan Kinsey Invitational. The sophomore clocked in a second-place finish of 8.37 seconds.

Oona Jung-Beeman, Oberlin
(Wilmette, IL/New Trier)

Oberlin’s Oona Jung-Beeman made her first appearance of the indoor season at the Dan Kinsey Invitational. The senior cruised to a five-second victory in the 800-meter run, clocking in at 2:21.56, the eighth-best mark in Division III this season.

Naeisha McClain, Oberlin
(Columbus, GA/Brookstone)

Senior Naeisha McClain headlined the Yeowomen effort at Oberlin’s own Dan Kinsey Invitational with a pair of convincing victories in the shot put and weight throw. McClain moved into 10th in the country in the shot put with a winning heave of 43-06 (13.26m).  The senior’s toss of 50-05.25 (15.37m) in the weight throw also ranks 20th in the country.

January 20th

Korri Palmer, Wooster
(Marietta, GA/North Cobb)

Wooster senior Korri Palmer was a double winner at Saturday’s Wooster Tri-Meet. Palmer led 10 competitors in the 60-meter dash with a time of 8.66 and she led off the Scots’ winning 4x200 relay that crossed at 1:54.62.


Lucia Rathbun, Oberlin
(Seattle, WA/Northwest)

Oberlin junior Lucia Rathbun bested a 19-person field in the 800 meters with the second-fastest time in the NCAC this season as she clocked in a winning time of 2:29.19. Rathbun also ran the third leg in the 4x400 as she partnered with Christine ImparaMaggie Allen and Oona Jung-Beeman to post the second-best time in the NCAC this season at 4:28.84.

Cirrus Robinson, Ohio Wesleyan
(Ashland, OH/Ashland)

Ohio Wesleyan senior Cirrus Robinson captured two wins this past weekend. She won the women’s high jump with a 1.65-meter leap and helped the distance medley relay team to a victory (5:57.23) as the Battling Bishops won the team title at the Ron Althoff Relays.
