AUSTIN, Texas – The 2018-19 Google Cloud Academic All-America Division III Men’s Basketball team was announced Wednesday, Mar. 13, by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) and Wabash’s Jack Davidson (Fishers, Ind./Hamilton Southeastern) was selected as a member of the second team.
Academically, Davidson owns a 3.78 cumulative GPA as an economics major at Wabash. He adds the Academic All-America® award to his growing list of accomplishments this season, including NABC All-District Player of the Year and first team honors, a D3hoops.com All-Great Lakes first team selection and the NCAC Player of the Year award to go along with first team honors.
Davidson averaged 25.1 points per game this season for Wabash, 10th-best in NCAA Division III. He shot 93.1 percent from the free throw line, connecting on 202 from the charity stripe this season. He also broke the all-divisions NCAA record for consecutive free throws at 95 in-a-row.
Davidson is the 29th Wabash student-athlete to be honored as an Academic All-America. CoSIDA began the distinguished Google Cloud Academic All-America® program in 1952, and since then, has honored thousands of deserving student-athletes from numerous sports across all divisions with these elite Academic All-America® scholar-athlete honors. The Academic All-America® program is nominated and voted upon exclusively by members of CoSIDA.
