Led by Ohio Wesleyan senior Peter Hamblett (Portsmouth, NH/Portsmouth) being named the Division III Specialty Player of the Year, 13 total NCAC men's lacrosse players were named to the 2018 United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Div. III All-America Team, it was announced by the organization on May 25th.
Hamblett, who was the lone NCAC player to earn first-team All-American honors, finished the season with 32 ground balls and 10 caused turnovers this year, and contributed 14 goals and 12 assists on the offensive end. He also was named the NCAC's Defensive Player of the Year.
Two additional NCAC players were named second-team All-Americans, including Denison sophomore attack Peter Pittroff (Charlotte, NC/Charlotte Country Day) and Denison senior defender Ben Duhoski (St. Thomas, USVI/The Millbrook School), while Ohio Wesleyan senior midfielder Luke Leyden (Northfield, MA/Mt. Hermon) was the lone NCAC representative on the third team.
The final nine NCAC players were all honorable-mention selections on the 2018 USILA All-America Team, including Ohio Wesleyan junior attack Steven Hildebrand (Berwyn, PA/Conestoga), Ohio Wesleyan junior attack Max Tennant (Englewood, CO/Cherry Creek), Denison junior midfielder Jake Waxter (Baltimore, MD/Gilman), Denison senior defender Liam Burman (Baltimore, MD/Boys Latin School), Ohio Wesleyan senior defender Aaron Carroll (Baltimore, MD/Gilman School), Denison senior short-stick defensive midfielder Hannibal George (Pittsburgh, PA/The Kiski School), Ohio Wesleyan senior short-stick defensive midfielder Trent Schulte (Coronado, CA/Coronado), Denison face-off specialist Henry DeCamp (Washington, D.C./Deerfield Academy) and Ohio Wesleyan senior goalie Ben Rigger (Decatur, GA/Decatur).
