Denison's Brooks Davy (Wilmington, NC/Episcopal) and Peter Pittroff (Charlotte, NC/Charlotte Country Day) along with Ohio Wesleyan's Max Tennant (Englewood, CO/Cherry Creek) have all been named to the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association's (USILA) Division III Team of the Week, announced on Tuesday, April 23.
Pittroff racked up a career-high nine assists in the 23-9 victory over Wooster and Davy scored eight goals on only eight shots against the Fighting Scots.
Against Wittenberg, Pittroff scored three goals while leading the team with six assists. He moved into third place on Denison's career points list (228) against the Tigers. Davy pumped in five goals against Wittenberg while chipping in one assist.
Davy has scored 40 goals in 14 games this season while Pittroff has totaled 23 goals and 63 assists in 14 contests. He ranks second in NCAA Division III with 4.50 assists per game.
Tennant scored 10 goals in Ohio Wesleyan's win over Wabash last Wednesday, tying the school record set by Don Sheehan against Lynchburg on March 21, 1981, and tied by Andy Greaves against Wittenberg on May 1, 1990. He also collected 6 ground balls in the contest. Tennant then contributed a goal as Ohio Wesleyan opened the game with a 7-0 run on the way to a 28-5 win over Hiram on Saturday. The goal was Tennant's 50th of the season. On the week, he scored 11 goals to raise his career total to 244, ranking him eighth all-time in NCAA Division III.
