Senior attack John Sutherland capped his Oberlin career by tying a career-high with five goals in the Yeomen’s 14-13 win over DePauw. The Wellesley Hills, Massachusetts, native deposited the game-winning goal with 35 seconds left to give Oberlin the win over the Tigers. Sutherland also had three goals and an assist in a commanding win over Hiram to finish the week with nine points.

Ohio Wesleyan junior attack Steven Hildebrand helped guide the Bishops to a pair of NCAC road wins against Wabash and Denison last week to control its own destiny for the program’s 20th league championship. In the 100th meeting between the Bishops and the Big Red, Hildebrand racked up three goals and two assists, with all three goals coming in the first quarter to help OWU build an early 6-1 lead. On the week, Hildebrand finsihed with eight total points on four goals and four assists.

DePauw sophomore goalie Charlie Robson was instrumental in the Tigers’ two NCAC wins last week over Wabash and Wooster. Against the Little Giants, Robson recorded 11 saves to led DePauw to its first conference win of the season and then recorded 20 saves against previously NCAC unbeaten Wooster. On the week, Robson recorded 31 saves in 105 minutes of action for a 6.86 goals against average and posted an outstanding .721 save percentage.

Ohio Wesleyan junior attacker Max Tennant helped guide the Bishops to a pair of wins last week against John Carroll and NCAC foe Hiram. Tennant led OWU with 13 goals, including a team-high seven in the victory over the Blue Streaks and the followed that up with six goals against the Terriers. Tennant also collected seven ground balls and caused two turnovers on the week.

Wooster freshman attacker Shaun Peirce scored a co-game-high six goals during the Scots’ 24-13 league win over Hiram on Saturday. The rookie added four assists to finish two points shy of matching the Scots’ single-game program record. In the win, Peirce only needed eight shots to score his six goals. The newcomer added four groundballs and two caused turnovers.

Kenyon senior attacker Jonah Florence notched the Lords’ game-winning goal against DePauw last week. Florence finihsed the game with three goals and four assists to go along with one ground ball and four shots on goal. His seven total points in the game were also a career-high.

In two games, Denison junior specialist Henry DeCamp was 34-of-36 (.944) when facing off with 27 ground balls. Against DePauw, DeCamp was a perfect 21-for-21 with 20 ground balls. Both were new Denison single-game records. The 21 faceoff wins broke the previous record of 18 set by Warner Siebert in 2005. The 20 ground balls broke a 32-year old record of 18 GBs that was set by Kurt Himy in 1986.

Ohio Wesleyan junior attacker Steven Hildebrand led the Bishops to a pair of non-conference victories last week, including a 12-11 overtime thriller against No. 3 Salisbury. Hildebrand scored four goals and added two assists in the 18-11 victory over Ill. Wesleyan and then scored the game-winner in overtime versus the defending national champion Sea Gulls on Sunday. Hildebrand finished the week with 10 points on six goals and three assists, highlighted by the overtime winner against Salisbury.

Wabash junior attacker Steven Stark broke his own school record for points in a game by scoring six times and handing out four assists for a total of 10 points in the Little Giants’ 19-6 win over Wilmington Sunday. His six goals also tie his own school record of six in two previous games.

Denison midfielder Jake Waxter led the Big Red with four goals and one assist in a 12-10 win over No. 20 Washington and Lee. Two of Waxter’s goals came during a pivotal 4-0 run between the second and third quarters that allowed DU to pull ahead. Waxter scored 28 goals and had 14 assists a season ago.
