The United Soccer Coaches released the 2018 NCAA Division III Men’s Soccer All-Region teams on Monday, Nov. 26, and 11 North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) student-athletes were named to one of the three Great Lakes Region teams.
Kenyon teammates Bret Lowry (Evanston, Ill./Evanston) and David Anderson (Urbana, Ill./Urbana) along with Wabash duo Chad Wunderlich (St. Louis, Mo./John Burroughs) and Michael Tanchevski (Crown Point, Ind./Crown Point) were named to the region’s first team. DePauw’s Andrew Gold (Columbus, Ind./Columbus North), Ohio Wesleyan’s Will Sharer (Avon, Ohio/Avon) and Kenyon’s Brice Koval (Crested Butte, Colo./Worcester Academy (Mass.)) were tabbed to the second team.
Lastly, four NCAC student-athletes achieved third-team honors. Oberlin’s Trenton Bulucea (Cleveland Heights, Ohio/University School), Wittenberg’s Alberto Zaragoza (New Carlisle, Ohio/Tecumseh) and Ohio Wesleyan teammates Brady Whittekind (Hilliard, Ohio/Bradley) and Adam Yingling (Gettysburg, Pa./Gettysburg) rounded out the All-Great Lakes Region team.
