  • Crawford & Holmes Nominated For NCAA WOTY

    The NCAC is proud to announce that two of the 145 female student-athletes nominated for the 2017 NCAA Woman of the Year Award are recent graduates from conference schools, including Kenyon swimmer Ellie Crawford (Las Vegas, NV/Meadows School) and Denison basketball player Jordan Holmes (Pittsburgh, PA/Mt. Lebanon).

  • Denison's Holmes Collects All-American Honors

    Denison senior post Jordan Holmes (Pittsburg, PA/Mt. Lebanon) was named to the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Division III All-American team. This is the second-straight year that Holmes has received this honor from the WBCA. She is one of 30 players in the nation to earn honorable mention from the organization.

    Ohio Wesleyan senior guard Megan Kuether (Osgood, OH/Marion Local) and Denison senior post Jordan Holmes (Pittsburgh, PA/Mt. Lebanon) were both named to the 2016-17 D3hoops.com All-Region Team, it was announced by the website on March 13th.

  • DePauw Wins Fifth NCAC Tournament Title

    DePauw (23-2, 15-1) will be the top seed in the 2017 NCAC Women's Basketball Tournament. The tournament begins with quarterfinal games on campus sites on Tuesday (2/21). Tournament seeding follows the final regular season standings with the top four seeds hosting quarterfinal contests. The four-way tie for third-place was broken via the conference tiebreaker system.

    DePauw (14-1, 22-2) captured the NCAC championship and the No. 1 seed for the 2017 NCAC Women’s Basketball Tournament last week. It marks the fifth time in the last six year the Tigers have earned the top spot in the conference tournament. The final seven seeds for the conference tournament will be determined this week as the NCAC regular season schedule officially comes to a close on Saturday.

  • NCAC Teams With Soles4Souls Foundation

    The North Coast Athletic Conference men’s and women’s basketball coaches are teaming with the Soles4Souls Foundation to help fight poverty through the distribution of shoes to people in need throughout all 50 states and 127 countries. The goal is for every NCAC basketball player to donate a pair of used shoes after the season and Soles4Souls will collect and distribute the shoes to the various countries.

With just six games scheduled this week, league squads will return to non-conference action after the holiday break with numerous teams either hosting or traveling to holiday tournaments, while a full schedule of conference action picks back up on January 4th.

This week features a light schedule with just two conference contests as Ohio Wesleyan visits Denison (3-7, 2-1) on Wednesday and Kenyon (6-3, 2-1) travels to OWU Saturday.

    Ohio Wesleyan opened the season at 2-0 for the first-time since 2011-12 and earned the Notre Dame (MD) Tip-Off Tournament Championships with victories against Notre Dame and Chatham. The DePauw Tigers are also 2-0 following victories against Birmingham-Southern and Rose-Hulman to win its own Tip-Off Tournament in Greencastle. All nine North Coast squads will be in action this week as non-conference play continues over the Thanksgiving Holiday.
