11 NCAC Student-Athletes Honored by IWLCA

2019 IWLCA Division III All-Region Teams

The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) has announced its All-Region teams for 2019. Of the 256 overall student-athletes in Division III honored, the North Coast Athletic Conference had 11 student-athletes earn first or second team accolades in the All-Great Lakes Region.

First-team selections from the NCAC include Allegheny sophomore Gretchen Barbera (Yarmouth, ME/Yarmouth), Denison senior Jane Goodspeed (East Grand Rapids, MI/East Grand Rapids), freshman Casey McTague (Arlington, VA/Stone Ridge) and junior Kiely Noonan (Wellesley, MA/Wellesley), Kenyon senior Cassie Hudson-Heck (Medina, OH/Medina) and senior Lucy Somers (Westwood, MA/Westwood) and Wooster senior Megan Healy (Ottawa Hills, OH/Ottawa Hills).

Second-team honorees include Denison sophomore Charlotte Godfrey (Denver, CO/Cherry Creek) and senior Maddy Heher (Morristown, NJ/Morristown), Kenyon junior Avery Morgan (Mount Kisco, NY/Holderness) and Wittenberg senior Emily Wadds (Cincinnati, OH/Wyoming).

These student-athletes are now eligible to be named to a national IWLCA All-American team. The IWLCA will celebrate the 2019 All-Americans during Divisional All-American Specials, which will be aired on Lax Sports Network in mid-June.
