CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Ohio Collegiate Soccer Association (OCSA) released the 2018 NCAA Division III All-Ohio Women’s Soccer team and All-Ohio Academic team. The North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) was represented by 18 student-athletes from Denison, Hiram, Kenyon, Oberlin, Ohio Wesleyan and Wittenberg.
The All-Ohio First Team consisted of Denison’s Maggie Armstrong (Wilmette, Ill./New Trier), Liz Gilbert (Chippewa Lake, Ohio/Archbishop Hoban) and Wittenberg’s Megan Davis (Canal Winchester, Ohio/Pickerington Central). The Big Red’s Kelly O’Neill (Torrance, Calif./Rolling Hills Prep) picked up second-team honors along with Hiram’s Alexis Green (Stow, Ohio/Stow-Munroe Falls), Oberlin’s Lucy Fredell (Washington D.C./Sidwell Friends) and the Kenyon duo of Caroline McNeer (Winston Salem, N.C./ForsythCountry Day) and Fallon Raviol (Bronxville, N.Y./Bronxville). Denison’s Patil Tcholakian (Farmington Hills, Mich./North Farmington) and Madison Smith (Coronado, Calif./Coronado) collected third-team selections alongside Ohio Wesleyan’s Ashley Smiley (Delaware, Ohio/Hayes), Oberlin’s Maddi Kimball (Temecula, Calif./Great Oak) and Hiram’s Hannah Ward (Niles, Ohio/McKinley).
On the Academic All-Ohio first team were Denison’s Claire Kolff (Draper, Utah/Juan Diego Catholic) and Armstrong. They were joined by Ohio Wesleyan’s Mack Brunke (Lewis Center, Ohio/Olentangy Orange), Kenyon’s Raviol and Wittenberg’s Davis. The second team consisted of Kenyon duo Maia Emdem (Bethesda, Md./Bethesda Chevy Chase) and Bri Maggard (Loveland, Ohio/Cincinnati Country Day). Hiram’s Sophie Bell (Cincinnati, Ohio/Indian Hill) and Oberlin’s Kimball were also recognized with second-team honors.
