Wooster women's soccer junior Miura Wiley (Cheshire, CT/Cheshire Academy) was named to the 2019 United Soccer Coaches Division III Women's Scholar All-America third team, released Wednesday, Dec. 18.
Wiley is a biochemistry/molecular biology major with a 3.88 cumulative GPA at Wooster. The 2019 NCAC Offensive Player of the Year, Wiley led the Fighting Scots with seven goals and seven assists. Her seven assists were tied for the conference lead, while her seven goals ranked among the top-five. Wiley was previously named to the United Soccer Coaches Division III Scholar All-North/Central Region second team on Monday, Dec. 16, while also being tabbed an All-Region and All-NCAC first-team member earlier this season.
To be eligible, a student athlete must have at least a 3.30 cumulative grade point average and start more than 50 percent of all games and be an elite player as supported by playing honors or contributions to the success of his/her team.
