Seidenstricker Leads AVCA All-American Selections

2015 AVCA All-America Team

Wittenberg senior right-side hitter Kara Seidenstricker (London, OH/Jonathan Alder) {right} was a first-team selection to lead the list of NCAC student-athletes named to the 2015 American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-America Team.

Seidensticker, who is now a three-time first-team All-America selection, has led the Tigers back to the NCAA Division III Women's Volleball Championships for the first time since the 2011 squad captured the national title. Through 29 matches this season, she leads the Tigers with 325 kills and 63 service aces, while also ranking second on the team with 384 digs and fourth overall with 46 total blocks (7 solo, 39 asst.). Seidenstricker and the sixth-ranked Tigers will open play in eight-team national tournament on Thursday with a 3:00 p.m. quarterfinal match against 18th-ranked Clarkson at Calvin College's Van Noord Arena in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

In addition, three NCAC players were also named to the 2015 AVCA Division III Honorable Mention All-America team, including Ohio Wesleyan sophomore outside hitter Iris Anderson (Elk Grove, CA/Christian Brother), Hiram senior outside hitter Lindsay Brewer (New Franklin, OH/Manchester) and DePauw senior libero Keely McGrath (Indianapolis, IN/Cathedral).
