She finished the week with a .500 attack percentage, and the Terriers sealed up their first-ever NCAC regular season title in any sport. _________________________________________________________________________ October 23, 2005 Ohio Weselyan junior middle hitter Megan Margala (Prospect, OH/Marion Elgin) had a hitting percentage of .521 in the three matches with 26 kills in 48 attempts and just one error. The Bishops went 3-0 last week, 2-0 in North Coast play. _________________________________________________________________________ October 16, 2005 Kenyon junior Patrice Collins (Garden City, NJ/Garden City) combined for 45 kills and 43 digs in 12 games played, leading the Ladies to a 2-1 week. In her team's victory over Allegheny, she had 20 digs, helping the Ladies to their best hitting percentage (.336) of the season. _________________________________________________________________________ October 9, 2005 Hiram senior Shana Toth (Mantua, OH/Crestwood) had 44 kills, 11 blocks and 30 digs in 12 games as the Terriers won twice in conference play. Toth, who ranks in the top five in the conference in four statistical categories, keyed Hiram's upset of Wittenberg, snapping a 63-match conference regular season winning streak. _________________________________________________________________________ October 4, 2005 Hiram senior Shana Toth (Mantua, OH/Crestwood) led the Terriers to a 3-0 week with 30 kills, 30 digs and eight blocks in seven games. _________________________________________________________________________ September 25, 2005 Denison junior Kristen Sheffield (Dublin, OH/Scioto) led the Big Red to a 4-1 week, beginning with a 3-0 win over Earlham in NCAC play. She paced Denison with 16 kills in the match. Sheffield was named to the all-tournament team at the Ohio Wesleyan Invitational after leading the Big Red in kills in all four matches. She totalled 65 kills in 14 games for a 4.64 kills per game average. She is the team leader in kills at 3.19 per game this season. _________________________________________________________________________ September 18, 2005 Allegheny sophomore setter Traci Stoner (Celina, OH/Celina) collected 217 assists, 37 kills, 93 digs and nine aces in 19 games, leading the Gators to a third-place finish at the Emory Classic and a 4-1 overall mark. _________________________________________________________________________ September 11, 2005 Wittenberg sophomore outside hitter Jan Kehres (Alliance, OH/Alliance) led the Tigers with 68 digs in four matches, and contributed 37 kills with a .306 hitting percentage. The Tigers won three of four matches to finish second in the National Invitational at Washington (Mo.). The four teams the Tigers faced were all ranked in the top 10 in the nation. _________________________________________________________________________ September 6, 2005 Wooster senior outside hitter Tiffany Rice (Canton, OH/McKinley) earned tournament MVP honors after she led the Scots to the team title at the Capital/Hampton Inn-Airport Invitational. She smashed 67 kills for an average of 4.19 per game, had a team-best .314 attack percentage and added 27 digs and six blocks. Rice is now the Scots' career leader in kills (1,276).
