DePauw Men, Oberlin Women Receive At-Large Bids to NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- On Sunday, Nov. 11, the NCAA announced 16 Div. III Cross Country teams who received at-large bids to accompany the 16 automatic qualifying teams at the NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships.

After a third-place finish at the Great Lakes regional, DePauw Men’s Cross Country received an at-large bid to the championships. On the women’s side, Oberlin’s third-place finish at regionals also garnered an at-large bid. The Yeowomen will join Allegheny at the NCAA Championships. The Gators posted a second-place finish at regionals, earning an automatic bid.

Three NCAC men's runners also received individual bids. Allegheny’s Matt Svetz and Wooster’s David Westcott and Brian Lief also advanced to the NCAA championships. The top seven individuals from each region not on a qualifying team also receive a bid to the championships. In total, 32 teams and 56 additional individuals will make up the 2018 championship field.
