Nine North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) institutions appeared in the final fall update of the 2019-20 Division III Learfield IMG College Directors’ Cup standings. Oberlin led the NCAC with 66 points, ranking 82nd overall among 190 institutions receiving points.
More postseason accolades came to Kenyon College Ladies cross country runner Emma Becker over the weekend.
DePauw University earned two outright league titles during the fall season to take the early lead in the race for the 2019-20 North Coast Athletic Conference All-Sports Championship.
Allegheny junior Mica Hanish was the top NCAC runner to log an All-American performance at the national meet by finishing in the top-40 in the individual standings, traversing the women’s 6K course in 21:53.3 to finish 20th overall. Kenyon sophomore Emma Becker joined Hanish on the All-American podium by finishing 32nd in a time of 22:07.3.
After third- and fifth-place finishes at the Great Lakes regional, the Oberlin and Allegheny Women’s Cross Country teams received at-large bids to the national championship.
All nine NCAC teams continued their seasons on Saturday, Nov. 16, at the NCAA Division III Great Lakes Regional in Grand Rapids, Michigan with Calvin University serving as the host.
