Oberlin sophomore Martin Gomez was an all-around contributor at the Oberlin Early Invite, helping the hosts finish fourth out of eight teams and ahead of two NCAA Division II programs. Gomez placed fourth in the 1,650 freestyle with a time of 17:14.27. He added a seventh-place finish in the 200 backstroke (2:00.96) and took ninth in the 400 individual medley (4:29.17). The sophomore also finished 14th in the 500 free (5:00.86) and contributed to Oberlin’s A relays, placing fifth in the 800 free relay and 10th in both the 200 and 400 medley relays.
