Wabash sophomore Blake Discher II posted a 3-1 singles record and a 2-0 doubles mark on the team's spring break trip. Following a tough 2-6, 1-6 loss at No. 5 singles against Carthage (1-8) Monday morning, Discher claimed an 8-4 victory at No. 2 doubles with first-year Eric Tien (Nichols Hills, OK/Casady) and a 7-6 (8-6), 6-2 win at No. 1 singles in the afternoon against Wentworth to help the Little Giants earn a 9-0 win. On Wednesday, the sophomore collected one of Wabash's three wins against Wheaton (3-6), picking up a straight-set victory of 6-2, 7-6 (7-5) at No. 6 singles. Discher then picked up an 8-5 victory at No. 1 doubles with sophomore Tharakesh Ashokar (Chennai, India/Velammal Vidhyashram) and a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 2 singles in an 8-1 victory over St. John Fisher on Thursday.
