Denison sophomore Ethan Green and the Big Red went 3-0 on the week with wins over No. 30 Kenyon (7-2), No. 8 WashU (7-2), and Oberlin (9-0). At the No. 1 flight in both singles and doubles, Green combined for a 4-1 record while also recording a win at No. 2 singles for a 5-1 overall record. Against the Owls, Green and junior Colin Gramley (Sharon, PA/Shady Side Academy) won 8-7 (7-5) in a tiebreaker to give Denison a 2-1 lead. Green’s only loss on the week (7-5, 6-3) came from Kenyon sophomore Paulo Pocasangre Kreling (Guacimo, Coasta Rica/Interamerican High School CATI), who is currently ranked No. 10 in the region. In the win over the Bears on Friday, Green teamed up with junior Kael Shah (Nairobi, Kenyon/ES American School Barcelona (Spain)) to earn an 8-6 doubles win and then pulled out a three-set victory (6-4, 3-6, 6-3) over second-ranked Jared Phillips. Against the Yeomen, Green and Shah won 8-0, while Green was also a 6-2, 6-3 winner at No. 2 singles.
