Rodriguez guided Wittenberg to wins over Capital (5-1), Wabash (7-6, 9-1), Ohio Wesleyan (13-3, 5-4), and Bluffton (10-5) as he went 8-for-18 with one home run and two doubles to go with 11 RBI, five runs scored, seven walks, and one stolen base. In two crucial conference victories, the rookie provided the game-winning hit with a two-RBI single in the top of the ninth against Wabash (7-6) and a two-run home run in the top of the ninth against Ohio Wesleyan (5-4).
