Denison senior Jacob Brown won his third-consecutive NCAC decathlon title after recording a program record of 6,504 points at the 2024 NCAC Outdoor Track and Field Combined Events Championships. Brown earned the win after taking first in the long jump (6.62m), shot put (12.54m), discus (32.01), pole vault (4.00m), javelin (47.10m), and 1500-meter run (4:45.15), while also earning a runner-up finish in the 110-meter hurdles (15.67), a third-place showing in both the 100-meter dash (11.46) and high jump (1.79m), and fourth in the 400-meter dash (53.15). In addition to ranking sixth in Division III in the decathlon this season, Brown also set new personal records in the 100-meter dash, long jump, and shot put in the process.
