Ohio Wesleyan junior Lily Bechina propelled the Battling Bishops to a 2-0 week with wins over Hiram (3-0) and DePauw (3-2). Against the Terriers, the setter dished out 41 assists, a season best for a three-set match, and led the Bishops with 14 digs. In the win, the senior directed the Ohio Wesleyan offense to a .350 attack percentage on 53 kills with only 10 errors in 123 attempts. In a come-from-behind win over the Tigers, Bechina recorded 18 digs and 46 assists to guide five OWU players to double digit kills. On the week, she collected 87 assists (10.88/set), 32 digs (4.00/set), and three block assists. With the wins, Ohio Wesleyan finished conference play with a 5-2 record to earn the No. 2 seed in the NCAC Tournament after tiebreakers.
