DePauw junior Caden Whitehead helped lead the Tigers to a 42-21 win over Wabash in the Monon Bell game on Saturday. The junior rushed for a career-high 199 yards on 27 carries and two touchdowns. The 199 rushing yards were a DePauw Monon Bell record, eclipsing the mark of 190 set by Bart Simpson in 1973. With the win, the Tigers earned their fourth-consecutive NCAC football crown and the league’s automatic-qualifying bid to the national tournament.
