Denison sophomore Abby Cooch guided the Big Red to a 73-70 overtime win over Olivet on Thursday. The guard put up a team-high 22 points and pulled down nine defensive rebounds to lift Denison to victory. Cooch shot 50 percent from the field (9-for-18) and made a pair of three-pointers (2-for-5) in the win. Her layup with six seconds left in regulation tied the score and forced overtime. In overtime, the Big Red took a quick four-point lead, and when the Comets came within one, Cooch sank another layup to give Denison a three-point lead with just 1:09 remaining in regulation. Cooch added three assists, one steal, and one block in the three-point victory.
