Ohio Wesleyan senior guard Kasey Schipfer helped lead the Battling Bishops to a 2-0 week with wins over Hiram (91-55) and Wittenberg (69-56). In the win over the Terriers, Schipfer matched her career high with 34 points, shooting 14-for-22 from the field and 6-for-8 from the charity stripe, while also adding four rebounds and three assists. Against the Tigers, the guard scored a game-high 27 points, shooting 11-for-17 from the floor, 2-for-2 from beyond the arc and 3-for-5 from the free throw line, and tallied seven rebounds. Schipfer's 27-point effort raised her career total to 2,012, making her the second Ohio Wesleyan player and third in NCAC history to surpass the 2,000-point mark. She also set a new school record for free-throw attempts (597), breaking Jill Myers’ previous record of 592. On the week, Schipfer averaged 30.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game, helping No. 14/15 Ohio Wesleyan improve to 10-0 against league competition and 19-2 overall.
