Kenyon first-year Izzy Akin, who came on in relief, helped lead the Owls to a doubleheader sweep of Gallaudet (25-0, 17-3) on Sunday. In game one, the rookie pitched one inning and struck out all three batters she faced. In game two, she entered after two outs were recorded in the first inning and went the rest of the way without allowing a hit and fanning nine batters. Overall, she pitched 5.1 innings, gave up no runs, no hits and no walks, while striking out 12 of the 16 batters she faced.
