Hiram senior attackman Aaron Gardner had a standout week, scoring the game-winning goal in both of the Terriers’ victories. In Hiram’s first win of the season, an 11-10 win over Anderson on Tuesday, Gardner broke a 10-10 tie with just over a minute remaining, netting the game-winner off an assist from senior long-stick midfielder Gray Perry (Silver Lake, OH/Stow-Monroe Falls). He followed that performance with another game-winning goal in a 9-8 win over Heidelberg on Saturday, scoring with 20 seconds left after receiving a pass from fellow senior attackman Ethan Mayer (Fairview Park, OH/Holy Name). Gardner finished the week with two goals and one assist against Anderson and one goal and five assists against Heidelberg, which set career highs for points in a game (6) and total points in a two-game span (9).
