Hiram senior Darian Kanno had a standout week at The Spring Games in Florida, helping the Terriers to a 5-3 record. Kanno hit safely in seven of eight games, including five multi-hit performances, while leading the Terriers with a .583 batting average and a .833 slugging percentage, to go along with eight runs scored, 14 hits, three doubles, one home run, and eight RBI. In Hiram’s 7-1 win over Wheaton (Mass.), Kanno had a perfect at-bat, going 3-for-3 with three RBI, one scored run, one double, and a home run. She recorded a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage with six putouts and 14 assists. Kanno’s home run pushed her career total to 13 which ranks third in program history, trailing only Jessica Bolanz (24) and Chastine Romanello (16).
