Denison junior Jacob Patterson helped guide the Big Red to a 4-0 week with wins over No. 6 Case Western Reserve (4-2), Ohio Wesleyan (7-0), Wittenberg (7-0), and No. 26 Carnegie Mellon (6-1). On the week, Patterson went 6-0 across both singles and doubles play. His singles victories included a 7-5, 7-6 (7-4) win at No. 2 over the Spartans, 6-0, 6-1 wins at No. 1 over both the Battling Bishops and the Tigers, and a 1-6, 6-4 (6-3) victory at No. 2 over the Tartans. In doubles action, Patterson teamed up with senior Colin Gramley (Sharon, PA/Shady Side Academy) to notch a 6-3 win at No. 2 over Case and a 6-1 victory at No. 1 over Carnegie Mellon. Additionally, the junior picked up his 20th win of the season in singles action and is now tied for second in all-time wins in program history with 67.
