Denison sophomore guard Owen Giannoulias played a key role in helping the Big Red clinch the NCAC title during a perfect 2-0 conference week. Giannoulias scored nine points in a 72-67 road win at Wooster before following with 11 points in a 71-70 victory over Ohio Wesleyan. He sealed the title by knocking down the game-winning free throw with 0.6 seconds remaining against the Battling Bishops. For the week, Giannoulias averaged 10.0 points, 5.5 assists, 4.5 rebounds and 2.5 steals per game to help Denison secure back-to-back NCAC championships.
