Denison sophomore post Anelly Mad-toingué was instrumental in helping the Big Red secure the NCAC title during a 2-0 conference week. Mad-toingué averaged 9.5 points, 9.0 rebounds, 2.5 blocks, 2.0 assists and 2.0 steals per game while shooting 64 percent from the field (9-for-14) in wins over Wittenberg (74-57) and Ohio Wesleyan (72-70). She opened the week with 15 points, eight rebounds, four steals, two blocks and two assists against the Tigers before posting four points, 10 rebounds, three blocks and two assists in the two-point win over the Battling Bishop. Mad-toingué delivered the game-winning assist in the final seconds against OWU, marking Denison’s first win over Ohio Wesleyan since the 2019-20 season and securing the program’s first conference championship since 2015-16.
