John Carroll senior Anthony Markello posted a 3-1 record at No. 2 singles and a 3-0 mark at No. 1 doubles during the Blue Streaks’ spring break trip to Florida. Markello earned straight-set singles wins over Adrian (6-0, 6-3), Concordia Chicago (6-0, 6-0), and Wartburg (6-1, 6-3) before falling to Mary Washington (0-6, 0-6) in his final singles match of the week. In doubles play, Markello teamed up with first-year Jean Davin (Paris, France/École Jeannine Manuel) for victories against Adrian (6-3), Concordia Chicago (6-0), and Wartburg (6-3). JCU went 3-1 for the week with team wins over Adrian (4-3), Concordia Chicago (7-0), and Wartburg (4-3) and a loss to Mary Washington (7-0).
