Men’s Basketball of the Week – Brodgie Gordon, Hiram
Hiram men’s basketball senior
Brodgie Gordon (DeLand, FL/DeLand) averaged 22.5 points on the week to help the Terriers earn conference wins over Oberlin and Kenyon. Against the Yeomen, Gordon tallied 21 points, five rebounds, four assists and two steals in the victory, before recording 24 points, seven rebounds and three assists against the Owls. On the week, Gordon went 15-of-24 (62.5%) from the field and 11-of-12 (91.7%) from the charity stripe.
Women’s Basketball Athlete of the Week – Claudia Cooke, Kenyon

Claudia Cooke (Chesterfield, MO/Parkway Central) averaged 11 points, 16.5 rebounds, 3.5 blocks, and 3.0 assists as the Owls went 1-1 on the week. In a 68-59 win over Penn State Shenango, Cooke helped Kenyon reach season-highs in points (68), rebounds (48), assists (15), and blocked shots (8) on Tuesday as she produced seven points, 11 boards, a season-high four blocks, and three assists. She then followed that performance with a 15-point, 22-rebound effort against Penn State Behrend while adding a trio of blocks and assists. The 22 rebounds were a career-high, an NCAC season-high, and the third-highest total in program history.
Men’s Indoor Track Sprint/Hurdles Athlete of the Week – Will Newby, Wabash

Will Newby (Sullivan, IN/Sullivan) broke the program record in the 60-meter dash twice on Saturday in his first collegiate meet. The rookie qualified for the finals of the 60-meter dash at the Illinois Wesleyan Titan First Chance meet with a time of 7.00 to break the previous Wabash record of 7.02 set during the 2019-20 indoor season. Newby bettered that time in the finals, finishing third with a time of 6.92 to run the first sub-seven second 60-meter time in school history. Newby added a third-place finish in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.94.
Men’s Indoor Track Distance/Mid-Distance Athlete of the Week – Haiden Diemer-McKinney, Wabash
Wabash freshman
Haiden Diemer-McKinney (Brownsburg, IN/Brownsburg) broke the school record in the 600-meter run in his first collegiate meet. The first-year won the 600-meter run at Saturday's Titan First Chance meet at Illinois Wesleyan University with a time of 1:22.04 to break the previous Wabash-best mark of 1:23.44 set during the 2016-17 indoor track and field season. He also anchored the Little Giants' third place 4x400-meter relay team that finished in third place with a time of 3:27.19.
Men’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Week – Quinn Sholar, Wabash
Wabash freshman
Quinn Sholar (Indianapolis, IN/Warren Central) won the shot put and placed fourth in the weight throw in his first collegiate meet at Saturday's Titan First Chance event. The rookie captured the individual title in the shot put with a distance of 15.97 meters for the second-best throw in Wabash indoor track and field history and fourth-best mark among all Division III throwers so far this indoor season. Sholar also scored a fourth-place finish in the weight throw with a mark of 15.27 meters, the tenth-best effort in Wabash program history.
Women’s Indoor Track Sprint/Hurdles Athlete of the Week – Tymeerah De’Armond, Wittenberg
Wittenberg freshman
Tymeerah De’Armond recorded two top-three finishes at the Tiffin University Open. The first-year won the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:01.07, while also claiming third in the 200-meter dash with a time of 26.61 seconds. Both times rank first among conference athletes so far this season.
Women’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Week – Iyanna Lewis, Oberlin
Oberlin senior
Iyanna Lewis (Washington, DC/Sidwell Friends) placed second in the women’s weight throw at the Tiffin Open. Lewis’s throw of 17.84 meters was just off her nation-leading mark that was set last week. The senior currently owns the top two throws in the conference this season.
NCAC Milestones & Records (Dec. 5 – Dec. 11)
DePauw, Women’s Basketball - Mya Shannon (Sr., Morris, IL/Morris) became the 20th player in program history to reach 1,000 points in Wednesday's game at Millikin.
Kenyon, Women’s Basketball – Claudia Cooke (Chesterfield, MO/Parkway Central) pulled down 22 rebounds on Saturday against Penn State Behrend; a career-high, an NCAC season high, and the third-highest total in Kenyon history. It was one rebound shy of the 23
Danielle Bartlett grabbed against Oberlin in 1993 and three shy of the program record of 25 set by
Mary Salmon against John Carroll in 1984.
Wabash Men’s Track & Field - Freshman

Wooster, Men’s Basketball – Wooster sophomore
Jamir Billings (Lorain, OH/Lorain) tied the program record with 12 assists in Saturday's game against seventh-ranked Rochester. It marked the third 12-assist game in program history and the second by Billings.
