Offensive Men's Basketball Athlete of the Week – Henry Hinkle, Ohio Wesleyan
Ohio Wesleyan junior Henry Hinkle (Powell, OH/Olentangy Liberty) guided the Battling Bishops to a 1-1 week after a hard-fought win over Hiram (98-90) and a tough loss to Denison (78-66). Against the Terriers, Hinkle scored a career-high 33 points after going 10-for-16 from the field, 5-for-8 from beyond the arc, and 8-for-9 from the line. The junior led OWU against the Big Red with 21 points and six assists. On the week, Hinkle averaged 27.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 5.0 assists, shooting 56.3 percent (18-for-32) from the field, 46.7 percent (7-for-15) from three-point range, and 91.7 percent (11-for-12) at the line.
 
Defensive Men's Basketball Athlete of the Week – Trevor Reed, Denison
Denison first-year Trevor Reed (St. Louis, MO/John Burroughs School) led the Big Red with 14 rebounds, 10 of which were defensive, and four blocks in a 2-0 week in conference action. In a 78-66 win over Ohio Wesleyan on Saturday, Reed set a new career-high in both rebounds (8) and blocks (3), while adding one steal. The rookie tallied six rebounds and one block in an 86-80 win over Oberlin earlier in the week.
 
Offensive Women's Basketball Athlete of the Week – Abigail Westmeyer, Denison
Denison junior Abigail Westmeyer (Toledo, OH/Ottawa Hills) sank a three-pointer from the top of the key with 13 seconds left to give the Big Red a 52-51 home win over Case Western Reserve on Saturday. Westmeyer finished the contest with eight points, three rebounds, two assists and two steals while shooting 50.0 percent both from the field (3-for-6) and from behind the arc (1-for-2).
 
Defensive Women's Basketball Athlete of the Week – Morgan Kress, Denison
Denison first-year Morgan Kress (Westlake, OH/Westlake) collected 10 rebounds and four blocks as the Big Red defeated Case Western Reserve 52-51 on Saturday. Kress recorded a season-high six defensive boards in the one-point victory.
 
Men's Swimming & Diving Athlete of the Week – Mason Steen, Wittenberg
Wittenberg sophomore Mason Steen (Leroy, OH/Riverside) posted a pair of individual victories in a dual meet against Manchester on Saturday. Steen took the top spot in the 100 breaststroke and 200 individual medley with times of 1:03.94 and 2:09.52, respectively.
 
Women's Swimming & Diving Athlete of the Week – Shania Stone, Wittenberg
Wittenberg sophomore Shania Stone (Cincinnati, OH/Princeton) helped guide the Tigers to a dual meet victory over Manchester (112-95) on Saturday. Stone took first place in the 100 (57.13) and 200 (2:05.31) freestyles, while also swimming the final leg of the winning 200 free relay (1:48.52).
 
Men's Indoor Track Sprints/Hurdles Athlete of the Week – Takeshi Greiner, Wabash
Wabash senior Takeshi Greiner (Crawfordsville, IN/Southmont) finished fourth in the finals of the 60-meter hurdles at Saturday's Edmonds-Wilt Invitational hosted by Purdue University. The senior raced to the finish line in 8.76 seconds, 0.4 seconds behind the winning time, to post the top finish by a Division III runner in the event.
 
Men's Indoor Track Distance/Mid-Distance Athlete of the Week – Kambi Obioha, Oberlin
Oberlin junior Kambi Obioha (Wauconda, IL/Northridge Preparatory) had a record-setting weekend at the Mount Union Toy Drive Invitational as he recorded a winning time of 1:05.49 in the 500-meter dash. Obioha erased Ted Lytle's mark of 1:06.56 that has stood since 1996. The junior's efforts bested 10 other competitors in the field. Obioha was also part of the 4x400 relay unit that took second place in 3:29.35.
 
Men's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week – Jarvis Thompson, Hiram
Hiram first-year Jarvis Thompson (San Francisco, CA/Galileo Academy) made his collegiate debut on Saturday at the Mount Union Toy Drive Invitational. The rookie set a new program record in the triple jump (12.99 meters) breaking the previous record set by David Jukes (12.85 meters) in 2000. Additionally, Thompson made the finals in the long jump (5.97 meters). His mark in the triple jump currently leads the NCAC.
 
Women's Indoor Track Sprints/Hurdles Athlete of the Week – Meghan Frazier, Wittenberg
Wittenberg junior Meghan Frazier (Alliance, OH/Alliance) won the 60-meter dash in 7.83 seconds at Mount Union's Toy Drive Invitational. Frazier also finished second in the 200-meter dash with a time of 25.70. Her times in the 60 and 200 are currently the fastest in the NCAC and tie her for No. 22 and No. 6, respectively in all of Division III.
 
Women's Indoor Track Distance/Mid-Distance Athlete of the Week – Ellis Santangelo, Oberlin
Oberlin junior Ellis Santangelo (Cadillac, MI/Cadillac Senior) placed sixth in the 3,000-meter run, completing the race in 12:07.28 at the Mount Union Toy Drive Invitational. Santangelo's performance is currently the third-fastest time in the league.
 
Women's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week – Abby Cannon, Oberlin
Oberlin senior Abby Cannon (Bloomington, IN/Loomis Chaffe School) won the weight throw for the second week in a row, besting 21 others in the field at the Mount Union Toy Drive Invitational. Cannon's toss of 16.16 meters tops the Great Lakes Region and is ranked 15th nationally.
 
NCAC Milestones & Records (Dec. 4 – Dec. 10)
 
Denison, Men's Basketball Junior Cameron Smith (Cleveland, OH/University School) claimed his first-career double-double and set a new career-high in both rebounds and assists after recording 10 points, 10 rebounds, five assists and three steals in a win over Ohio Wesleyan on Saturday.  
 
Hiram, Men's Basketball Junior Trent Jakacki (Hiram, OH/Crestwood) scored 50 points over two games this week, bringing his team-high scoring average to 23.7 this season. The junior has now scored 20 or more points in four-straight games, which is the longest such streak of his collegiate career.
 
Wabash, Men's Basketball Junior Vinny Buccilla (Fishers, IN/Hamilton Southeastern) matched his career-high with a 26-points against Kenyon (76-50) on Wednesday, connecting on 10-of-16 shots from the field and 6-of-10 three-point tries, while also earning two steals and blocking one shot.
 
Wittenberg, Men's Basketball Sophomore Eddie Brown (Lewis Center, OH/Olentangy Orange) posted career-highs in points (14), rebounds (10), and assists (5) in a stellar all-around performance in a 75-62 win over Wabash.
 
Wittenberg, Men's Indoor Track & FieldJunior Cameron Elliott (Springfield, OH/Springfield) finished second in the 400-meter dash with an indoor personal-best time of 49.69 at Mount Union's Toy Drive Invitational. Elliott now ranks first in the conference and 11th in the nation.
