CLEVELAND, OH - Wittenberg first-year Lexi Cutler (Farmington Hills, MI/North Farmington) is set to compete for Team USA Field Hockey in the 2025 Maccabiah Games in Israel this summer.
Cutler is one of approximately 1,300 athletes that will represent Team USA across all sports. In addition to Team USA, there will be teams representing nearly 80 countires world wide.
The Wittenberg Tigers finished the 2024 season with an 11-3 overall record, its best since 2017 (14-6), to go along with an 8-2 mark in NCAC play. The Tigers earned the No. 3 seed in the NCAC tournament, and fell 1-0 in overtime to No. 2 seed Denison in the NCAC semifinals. The rookie collected one assist this season, which set up the game-winning goal in a conference win over Oberlin on Oct. 26.
The Maccabiah Games are the world’s largest Jewish athletic competition in the tradition and values of Maccabi, emphasizing the centrality of the State of Israel in the life of the Jewish people. The Maccabiah Games will be held in Israel between July 8-25, 2025 while competitions will take place in Haifa, Jerusalem, Netanya and Tel Aviv.
