KANSAS City, MO – The United Soccer Coaches honored the Denison University coaching staff as its 2024 NCAA Division III Men's Soccer Region VII Staff of the Year, announced on December 9.
This marks the second time that Head Coach

Tyler Callagher and
Ben Woelfinger have earned regional recogintion (2021). Denison also earned NCAC Coaching Staff of the Year honors after guiding the Big Red to a 15-2-6 overall record with an unbeaten 6-0-2 mark in league play to collect the program's third overall North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) title. In eight conference matchups, the Big Red defense allowed a league-low one goal for a minuscule 0.13 goals-against average to go along with an NCAC-best .955 save percentage and seven shutouts. The offense earned a conference-high 52 corners to help produce 54 points on 20 goals and 14 assists.
The Big Red qualified for the NCAA Tournament and picked up three victories to advance to the NCAA Quarterfinals for just the second time in program history (1979). The NCAA postseason run was highlighted by Denison's 1-0 overtime win over top-ranked Mary Washington in the Third Round on Nov. 23. Denison recorded three NCAA Tournament wins this season, marking the first time in program history that Denison recorded multiple wins in the NCAA Tournament.
In 23 games overall, Denison recorded 142 points on 52 goals and 38 assists, while shutting out 14 opponents and only allowing 12 goals (0.51 GAA) overall.
