DePauw's Quigley Selected AFCA First Team All-America

CLEVELAND, OH - DePauw senior Gabe Quigley (Carmel, IN/Carmel) has been selected to the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) First Team, announced Tuesday, December 3.

Through 10 games this season, Quigley has caught 45 passes for 768 yards with 13 touchdowns. He topped the 100-yard plateau on two occasions including a career-high 170 yards on eight catches at Kenyon in which he also tied a school record with four touchdown catches. In the Monon Bell Game win over Wabash, he hauled in three catches for 157 yards with all three going for touchdowns including his season-long catch of 75 yards on the first play of the second half. He has caught at least one pass in all 10 games that he played and recorded at least three catches in nine contests. Notably, Quigley threw a 17-yard touchdown pass in a 33-0 win at Berry, while also rushing for 74 yards on 11 carries in the win.

Statistically, the senior ranks inside the league's top 10 in nine different categories, including second in receiving touchdowns (13), third in both receiving yards per game (76.9) and total receiving yards (768), fifth in both longest catch (75 yards) and points scored (78), sixth in receptions per game (4.5), yards per carry (17.3), and total receptions (45), and 10th in all purpose yards per game (84.3).

Quigley is DePauw's first AFCA All-America selection since Alex Koors earned the distinction in 2010.

The Tigers are 11-0 for the first time in program history and will play host to Johns Hopkins on Saturday, Dec. 7, at 12:00 p.m. in the third round of the 2024 NCAA Division III Football Championship.
