CLEVELAND, OH - Oberlin first-year Paloma Szyfer (West Orange, NJ/The Pennington School) is set to compete for Team USA Field Hockey in the 2025 Maccabiah Games in Israel this summer.
Szyfer is one of approximately 1,300 athletes that will represent Team USA across all sports. In addition to Team USA, there will be teams representing nearly 80 countires world wide.
The rookie played in 739 minutes of action and started in 12 of the Yeomen's 14 games this season.
The Maccabiah Games are the world's largest Jewish athletic competition in the tradition and values of Maccabi, emphasizing the centrality of the State of Israel in the life of the Jewish people. The Maccabiah Games will be held in Israel between July 8-25, 2025 while competitions will take place in Haifa, Jerusalem, Netanya and Tel Aviv.
