Wabash's Manwell, Kenyon SAAC Recognized by NADIIIAA

CLEVELAND, OH – Wabash's Allison Manwell and the Kenyon Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (KSAAC) have been honored with NADIIIAA awards, showcasing their contributions to community service and athletics administration during 2023-24.

Manwell was named the Emerging Athletics Administrator, recognizing her leadership and impact on Wabash's athletics programs. Since joining the department in 2022, Manwell has been instrumental in compliance, ticket operations, and overseeing the volleyball, tennis, and golf programs. Her promotion to associate athletics director and senior woman administrator (SWA) in 2024 reflects her dedication to excellence. She was also selected for the prestigious Independent Colleges of Indiana Leadership Academy, further highlighting her rising influence in collegiate athletics.

Kenyon SAAC earned co-first place in the Special Olympics Activity category of the NADIIIAA Community Service Awards. The KSAAC strengthened its partnership with Knox County Special Olympics (KCSO) by hosting weekly training sessions in basketball and track and field at Kenyon's athletic facilities. The committee also organized major events, including a statewide Special Olympics swim championship and a regional basketball tournament, providing opportunities for athletes of all abilities to thrive.

As part of their recognition, KSAAC and Manwell will each receive a $1,000 award to support their respective institutions. Kenyon's funding will be directed toward the general scholarship fund, further empowering student success, while Manwell will recieve a professional development grant to continue advancing her leadership in collegiate athletics. Both awards will be officially presented during the NADIIIAA Awards Ceremony on Thursday, January 16, at 4:30 PM CT, celebrating the outstanding contributions of Division III institutions and leaders to their communities and the broader athletics landscape.
